Greece: This year’s winter is the hottest on record

This conclusion comes from the preliminary data of the Climate Change Service and the European Copernicus program, after their analysis by the scientific team of the National Observatory of Athens.

In the last ten years, the six warmest winters of all time have been recorded in Greece.

From 1960 to 2024, the average maximum temperature in Greece shows an increase of almost two degrees.
