Peter Andre speaks of Cyprus UFO encounter

POP singer Peter Andre is the latest personality to reveal he has witnessed a UFO flying above the skies of Cyprus.

The singer, who owns a home on the island, said he always believed UFOs were real. ‘The kids and I had an incredible sighting in Cyprus that we’ll never forget, and my brothers Michael, Chris and Danny have seen many,’ he wrote in New magazine.

In the 1990s, famed Spoon-bender, Uri Geller told a similar story of a UFO encounter – a mysterious ball of light – during his childhood in Cyprus.

Around a decade ago, the island experienced a concentrated period of sightings, with countless reports of strange lights in the sky. It was even jokingly suggested that ‘UFO tourism’ might ‘take -off’.

Without doubt, the most bizarre close encounter with a UFO was recorded by British military personnel Dhekelia in 1971.

A soldier, who even provided photographic evidence of the incident, recalled, “Everybody on the exercise, about 1400 men, saw the light, which was extremely bright and when I’m talking about extremely bright, I’ve never seen anything as bright in my life.”

In 2009, a pilot approaching Tymbou airport in the north reported being followed by what he described as a “bright object which resembled a big man or a big garbage bag”.

The UFO followed the jetliner until it landed and then disappeared.
