Hundreds of Ukrainians and Russian-speakers held protests against the Russian invasion of Ukraine across Cyprus over the weekend.
Protesters demanded an immediate end to the war, the liberation of the occupied territories and the return of all Russian soldiers to their homes.
The events were part of the global campaign “No to Putin and Putinism”.
Demonstrators also demanded the immediate release of all political prisoners convicted in Russia of anti-war actions, while honoring the late opposition leader Alexei Navalny and his anti-corruption movement.
In Nicosia the gathering took place in front of the Russian Embassy.
