Solar & Storage Live Africa gets underway

Solar & Storage Live Africa 2024, a major renewable energy exhibition on the African continent, opened on Monday in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Held at the Gallagher Convention Center, the three-day event attracted more than 350 domestic and international exhibitors, according to Terrapinn, a global events company.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be back this year, with this edition set to be bigger than ever before. In these critical times, it’s paramount for the energy and solar industries to come together and drive toward a more sustainable future while exploring innovative solutions,” said Gina Bester, an official with Terrapinn.

He said exhibitors from both home and abroad showcased a range of energy products and solutions, including photovoltaic modules and components, renewable energy storage and inverters, power generation equipment, and smart technologies in the solar energy sector.

During the show, there will also be forums and conferences with attendees from governments and leading players in the energy sector across the region to focus on the most pressing issues in Africa’s energy sector, according to Bester. ■
