A road safety campaign kicks off in Cyprus on Monday highlighting the use of seat belts in the front and back seats, as well as the use of child seats.
According to police, the goal is to reduce serious and fatal injuries during road collisions.
Police patrols will conduct checks across the island until Sunday, March 17.
Based on available data, during the three years 2020 – 2022, 57% of drivers and passengers who lost their lives on the roads, were not wearing a seat belt.
