Two arrested over fake degrees

Two men have been arrested in northern Cyprus for allegedly selling fake degrees for $30,000 to $40,000 to students from Middle Eastern countries, including Iran and Egypt.

The director of the so-called “Cyprus University of Health Sciences” and the head of the “international office department” were detained as they tried to leave the north by air.

Reports suggest the scam could have reaped over 30 million dollars.
